Story
Hello there.... firstly, thanks for actually taking the time to click on this page. I know lots of people ask for donations (including me) so the fact you made it this far means a lot.
Last year I ran the London Marathon and raised over £2000 for a charity that helped families with a member with a learning disability, providing help and respite. Everyone was so generous.
It was an amazing day but, as silly as it might sound, I want to do one more marathon, just one more time - honest! This is the last push.
I don't have a target this time - I am running the Paris marathon anyway. But I thought that if you'd like to show your support for the last big run I do it would be great if you could do that by donating whatever you can to a charity that really matters to me, and that makes a big difference to thousands of people's lives.
This time for Paris I've turned my attention to the Alzheimer's society. It's a cause close to my heart as my grandfather suffered with Alzheimers before he passed away, and my Granny had severe dementia. But of course it's not just about my grandparents - dementia is an increasing concern among an ageing population. According to the Alzheimers Society there are currently 800,000 people in the UK with dementia.
The Alzheimers Society is a great charity that's there for both sufferers of dementia and their families. They were there for my family when they needed support for my grandfather.
Our memories, our clarity and our relationships are sacred and become fragile in older age. Please help me raise money to help fight the onset of dementia and alzheimers and to help support those who need it.
Many of you will have donated last year - and I appreciate there is only so much people can keep giving. But even if you have a couple of pounds to spare that would be really great.
Thank you so much xxx Indi
