The situation of refugees and asylum-seekers arriving in Europe has exposed the failure and reluctance of European governments to protect their rights and provide them with the necessary support. As a local charity, Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group (SWVG) ( http://swvg-refugees.org.uk/ ) has done an amazing job in helping out and befriending asylum-seekers/refugees in Southampton.

To support SWVG's invaluable work, Martina, Gabi and i will be doing the Southampton Half Marathon on 23 April 2017. We have been training since January, and the entire journey has been an amazing experience. Please donate and help us support refugees/asylum-seekers by supporting SWVG: every little helps.
