From small beginnings in the year 2000 FOMO now looks after thousands of children through a network of 14 centres covering over 95 villages. FOMO Provides Health Care, Formal and Informal Education, Food Security and Daily Activities. Everything raised will go to Malawi to Help the children.

Story

A member of our Trustee Board, Margaret Tipping, who joined the charity in 2003, and has been fundraising in Our Lady’s Parish, Portico, along with friend Mary Meeghan for many years.

Now it is time for both to move to less arduous tasks. As a legacy to the charity, Margaret is organising an ‘International Fundraising Day’ to take place on the 6th July 2014 to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Malawi’s Independence.

The idea of this fundraising is to network people in as many countries as possible, and at home, where the work of FOMO is not known.

All proceeds from this event will go to building two student hostels for our senior students, who are in great danger when travelling long distances to school. The total cost for the build and furnishing is £160,000. CAN YOU HELP IN ANY WAY
