The Pumping Marvellous Foundation are the UK’s patient-led Heart Failure charity. Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our JustGiving
page in memory of my Nana - Gwen.

On the 28th March 2022, my Nana, Gwen passed away suddenly with end stage heart failure. The 12 months leading up to this it was very apparent she was unwell however, after numerous hospital visits it was never properly diagnosed until after her passing. Despite her symptoms and how she felt she was always determined to get on with things and make sure we were all okay – especially Millie! Anyone who knows us understands how important she was to us and life has truly not been the same since

Although we can’t go back and change things, we understand
the importance of having the support and resources available to those families affected every step of the way. This is why we aim to complete many challenges throughout the year to raise as much as possible for Pumping Marvellous, who support those who have Heart Failure to live well.

We have decided to make this year a much more positive one by making memories and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone. To start, Zoe and I will be taking on the Glasgow Kiltwalk at the end of April followed by myself running the Stornoway Half Marathon at the end of May.

My next challenge will be on the 1st October when I will be running my first marathon - Loch Ness Marathon.

Any donations, words of encouragement or challenge suggestions are very much appreciated by all of us.
