Story

Only 28 days to go. Please sponsor this great cause !! Any donation would be amazing x

At this point I have not even completed a triathlon so it’s going to be an exciting, if painful journey to become an Ironman. So why am I going to complete this challenge? …

I'm racing in memory of Emma's mother, Bernie Hudson and raising funds for the Wirral Hospice (www.wirralhospice.org).  The Wirral Hospice has a highly professional caring atmosphere, which comforts both the person with a progressive illness and those who are important to them.

An Ironman consists of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride and a marathon 26.2-mile (42.2 km) run, raced in that order and without a break. It is widely considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world. Ironman events have a strict time limit of 17 hours to complete the race. Any participant who manages to complete within these timings becomes an ironman.
