Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I appreciate that we are often asked for donations to a number of worthwhile charities but I would ask you to spare a moment to think of the many young veterans who have been badly wounded in recent wars. They are now striving to adapt and deal with the adversity which their injuries caused them whilst serving their country. Please give as generously as you can to help support the efforts of these courageous young people.

My team is comprised of 4 ex Army Officers who served in the 1980s and 90s in the Royal Tank Regiment and London Regiment and so the cause of wounded veterans is close to our hearts.

The aim of the Walking With The Wounded Cumbrian Challenge is to support up to 200 more wounded veterans back into employment - one for each team that competes in Cumbria.

The Cumbrian Challenge takes place on Saturday 16 May 2015.

Competing with inspirational wounded servicemen and women our team is taking on the 'Tougher' ( 33km, 1800m of ascent) route through the stunning peaks of the Lake District. With a combined team age of 200yrs+, we'll need all the support you can give!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate they will send your money directly to the charity.
