Virgin London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·
Tildy Curran fought a two-and-a-half year battle with leukaemia and tragically died in September 2010. Throughout this time, Tildy showed huge courage and bravery in dealing with everything that this terrible disease brings with it: frequent visits to hospital, painful treatment and, most of all, missing time with her friends. We have called this fighting attitude ‘Tildy’s Spirit’ and it has inspired us to run the 2014 London Marathon.
Since 2008, Tildy’s Trust has raised over £450,000 to fund scientific research, new hospital facilities and patient welfare. The Curran family have decided that 2014 will be the last year of fund-raising by the Trust, so we hope to go past the £500,000 mark!
All the money we raise for the London Marathon will go to support a specific project supported by Children with Cancer, with whom we have worked very closely over the past five years.
We really want to raise as much as we can for this cause which is so very close to our hearts. Every penny counts and we are so grateful for any donations given.
