I volunteer one day a week at Caring for Life as a befriender to a number of  people. I am part of a team that supports people to live an independent life in their own home. I usually visit them at their home and then we do something together to build up a friendship such as walking in a park, going to a coffee shop or going shopping with them.

Many attend the 16 daytime therapeutic activities at the farm where they can learn skills, make friends, be part of a team and feel a sense of pride in their work and themselves. The activities include farming, horticulture, mechanics, woodwork, art, craft, looking after small animals and caring for horses
