London Landmarks Half Marathon 2021 · 1 August 2021 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In August 2018 at the age of 22 I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  One year on and I have just had my  appointment confirming I am still cancer free. To thank the amazing charity which offered me so much support during such a difficult time I am raising money for them by running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in March 2020.

I received all of my treatment on a Teenage Cancer Trust Ward which they fund and build in NHS hospitals and are specifically dedicated to meet the needs of teenagers and young adults up to age 24.   Their wards are as friendly and unhospital like as possible, providing TVs, films, games, laptops, pool tables and even a gym.

I would be so grateful for any donations, big or small, to allow Teenage Cancer Trust to continue their amazing work supporting teenagers and young adults through what can be an incredibly isolating and daunting time in their lives.

**Update**

I’ll be taking part in London landmarks half marathon on 3rd April 2022 after this event was cancelled due to covid.

I am also doing the Hampton Court Half Marathon on Sunday 19th September! Thanks for all your donations, Izzy xxx
