Isla swims to France · 14 November 2020

Our aim is to be the first port of call for people in Dacorum who are facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion; to support and empower them to take the next positive step in their lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am a thirteen year old girl who would really like to help families that are in need of homes and support. I can’t imagine how it would feel to not have a roof over my head and to not have enough food. If I could just make a small impact and help just a few people to have a better living situation that would be great. I am hoping to swim the distance of the English Channel which is 34 km (2267 lengths) in an outside pool before Christmas . This will be quite a challenge as the pool will get colder and colder as the days get colder and darker. However knowing that I might have the chance to make a difference for families will help me get through it and hopefully complete it.

Dens is a local homeless and support charity in Dacorum. They help families in desperate situations. I would be grateful for any donations large or small.
