Mark's* Story - Mark joined ‘the key’, our alternative education program, at a difficult time in his life. He said that before he joined “I was naughty at school, always getting excluded, I didn’t really do any work and I always used to fall out with the teachers. I was in trouble with the police for GBH, and I was getting arrested for robberies.” After a few months of being at Enthusiasm we started to see a change in Mark,

“At Enthusiasm I get more help so I do more work, it makes it easier and fun. The staff are down to earth, they don’t shout at you and they give you a chance. They talk to me and tell me what I’m doing wrong and how I can improve. They care, they have been through the same issues as me and they have turned their lives around so that makes us think we can do it. We can tell them our problems and they won’t judge us. If Enthusiasm wasn’t here we wouldn’t have no education, we wouldn’t be going nowhere in life but it's going to help us get a job. Now I’m at Enthusiasm I’m more chilled out I’m doing more work, I’m learning more.”
