In Loving Memory of our mum, Ivy Neate

Bev Maydon is raising money for Smile Train
In memory of Ivy Neate
Smile Train is the world’s largest cleft charity, sponsoring 2M+ cleft surgeries since 1999. Smile Train empowers local medical professionals with training, funding, and resources to provide free quality cleft surgery and comprehensive cleft care to children globally, in their own communities.

Story

Mum and Dad were immensely grateful for all the expertise readily available to them when Jane was born with a cleft-palate.

However, in many parts of the world, transformative corrective surgery and therapies are beyond the reach of families, leaving babies born with clefts struggling to breathe, eat and speak - let alone smile.

Mum passionately supported the charity Smile Train. Since its creation in 1999, Smile Train has worked in over ninety countries with local medical teams to bring free cleft treatment and lifesaving care to over 1.5 million people.

Here's a really short video about their work: https://youtu.be/UXd77dCoU9Q

Mum adored children.  She gave us, her own children, an amazing start in life, she doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren but she was keenly aware and saddened  that many children were much less fortunate.

Mum so often made us smile.  We hope that, through donations to Smile Train she'll be helping children to smile across the world.

Many thanks for your love and support,

Bev, Bob and Jane.
