I have never been the best at long distance running! Give me a 5m sprint any day. This is going to be a challenge but in the grand scheme of life it's nothing compared to how I was last year. From Feb-July 2017 I was very ill, after weeks of testing, brain & chest scans, blood tests & lumbar punctures etc I was diagnosed with an auto immune condition called Systemic Sarcoidosis. 

Over that period I lost 3 stone, developed tinnitus, had limited & blurred vision & bilateral facial nerve damage (temporary paralysis). This took it's toll mentally too where I had a period of depression, anxiety & spent time seeing a counsellor.

I have been on the mend for a few months now, but would never have been able to get through it without the love and support of my beautiful wife Kit, 3 gorgeous children Bella, Livvy & Ava, mum & dad, close family & friends & the Neurology department at University Hospital Wales under the guidance of Professor Neil Robertson for the time, effort, hard work & care everyone put into me in order to help me get better.

I will be eternally grateful to all of you.
