We Promote early diagnosis of Pancreatitis to improve patients lives

Story

Gemma my sister recently was placed in hospital for 2 weeks. She was extremely ill and suffered huge amounts of pain.

The doctors found that she had pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is normally set off by either gallstones or excessive consumption of alcohol. Gemma's condition was started by her gallstones. It can be fatal if not treated swiftly and correctly.

It was a extremely worrying time for all the family and thankfully she is a strong girl and managed to pull through. To that end i am using this as a good oppurtunity to raise peoples awareness of pancreatitis and fingers crossed raise some money for the supporters network.

So i have challenged myself for 365 days no to have a drop of alcohol....for most that know me they will know that i am never one to shy away from a shandy or twelve and will realise that this will be quite a challenge for me. I thought i was appropriate as the other main cause is alcohol. Through out the year i will also partake in little challenges to keep the money hopefully ticking over...my first one will be having my legs waxed....i am also looking for other ideas so feel free to suggest.

It would be great if everyone can get behind me and help me raise a good amount of money for what i see as a worthy cause. So dig deep and spare a few pennies.

Thank you james
