Every second of every day, London’s Air Ambulance Charity is ready to deliver rapid response and cutting-edge medical care to save lives in the city. Critical injury from road traffic accidents, falls from height, assaults and other accidents is the biggest killer of people aged under 40. London’s Air Ambulance Charity brings the hospital emergency department to the scene, delivering life-saving treatment to the 10 million people who live and work in London.

The service has a reputation as a world leader of rapid response medical care. They have provided support to the capital in times of great need such as the London Bridge attack, the Grenfell Tower fire and 7/7 bombings.

On April 29, I'm running the London Marathon in support of London's Air Ambulance Charity.  The average mission cost is £1700 and my target of £2500 will help fund one mission and the service further. As a doctor and member of the operational team at London's Air Ambulance, I am grateful and honoured to be a part of such an organisation.  I hope this run will be filled with purpose and help provide for Londoners and advance the service.
