Story
I decided quite simply, it was time to make a difference. Having grown up in East London and been fortunate enough to spend time away from London; watching the vast growth of gang and knife crime throughout the city saddens me.
That is why I have chosen to work with The Wickers Charity. In short – The Wickers Charity are supporting children as young as 8 up to 18 years of age in Hackney and help them diverse from a path of crime.
What I found that made The Wickers a unique Charity was not only
their vast engagement of over 200 children PER WEEK, but the opportunities they were creating. Giving these children an alternative path away from crime. Opportunities in tech firms, estate agents and roles within the music industry - that otherwise would seem a far distant dream to such underprivileged youths.
I did not pick an easy task! So, on Sunday 4th August I will be taking part in the epic Prudential Ride 100, Bike Ride around London. The iconic route is extremely difficult, challenging and over 100 miles!!! But anyone who knows me, knows I love a challenge.
So, I ask you to work alongside me and help The Wickers Charity save our youth!
