Brighton Marathon 2014 · 6 April 2014 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I DID IT!! 😄 Gosh that was hard but I managed to run through the pain of my Achilles injury and a thigh that decided to scream none stop after the first 18 miles. Such an amazing feeling and sense of achievement and the support I have had from you all helped me make the final push when it became really, really challenging. Thank you all for being so supportive and generous. Much love and thanks. JoGJ xxxxxx

Alzheimers is such a heartbreaking condition that could affect any one of us in later life. My wonderful Dad was diagnosed 2 years ago with very early onset dementia and as I only intend to do one marathon in my lifetime this charity was the obvious choice. If you are able to help me achieve my target of £550 I will be immensely grateful and fully motivated. If the running of a marathon doesn't impress you enough to donate how about the fact I've given up alcohol for the whole of January and will allow myself one treat a week during February and March! Now that's got to be worth something :-)

Thank you sooooooooo much xxxxxxxxxx

p.s. The £2 anonymous donations are from our darling girls Livi and Minnie who gave me their pocket money this week.....but silly Mummy couldn't figure out how to put the message on! Should have used internet donation not text! But they wanted you all to know they have sponsored me too :-) bless them.
