Story

MPD Support is a charity that is very close to my heart and all the money raised will go towards much needed research and help for people with MPDS. MPDs (myeloproliferative disorders) are rare blood cancers that cause debilitating fatigue, blood clots, heart attacks, strokes and can lead to leukaemia or bone marrow failure. Only a very good cause would motivate Mum and I to abseil down the terrifyingly high  practice run down a wall a fraction of the height revealed that neither of us have a good head for heights! Having said that I guess a hospital is as good a place to be as any should we get it wrong! A team of brave people are abseiling on the day but Mum is likely to be the only granny taking part: images of the 1980s TV series Super Gran come to mind!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Don't forget that if you are a higher rate taxpayer you may be able to obtain tax relief on any donation. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my site.

About the charity

MPN Voice leads the way in supporting people with rare blood cancers called Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs), with accurate information and emotional support. We're funding research toward better treatments and one day a cure. Most importantly we offer hope to those affected by MPNs.
