JJ and I love to ride bikes.  It's a fact.  I love the lycra and yellow handlebar tape; he likes to go really fast, often in a wiggly line.  We have wanted to ride John O Groats to Land's End since last summer and never thought we would get around to it, but somehow we have started training and booked our train!

We thought it would be great to raise money for a charity on the way, and Assist was an easy choice.  Through volunteering at New Roots (Shop for justice) we have met both asylum seekers and those who work to support them.  We know how hard it is to get legal right to remain if you are new to the country and that the system fails people without proper support.  Assist are a small but vital charity that gives asylum seekers a bit of breathing space; an initial means of living whilst their case is being considered.

So please sponsor us, if not for the mammoth task of cycling hundreds of miles, do it for the fact that we will have to share a sweaty tent together for 2 weeks! (setting off on 5th April)
