Story

I’m very pleased (and relieved!) to say I completed my first London Marathon, finishing in 4 hours 34mins.

It really was one of the best experiences of my life.  The crowd were amazing and so encouraging.  I had my name printed on my t-shirt and it was great to hear the crowd shouting for you.  I even turned off my iPod at mile 20 and let the crowd take me through to the end.  I didn’t hit the infamous ‘wall’ however the last 3 miles seemed to be the longest 3 miles I’ve ever run!

I’m so pleased to have raised so much money for such a great charity.  The thought of who I was running for was at the forefront of my mind throughout the race.  I really am grateful for all your donations.

Sunday evening and suffering with 5 blisters, a falling off toe nail and the inability to walk properly I said never again…but we’ll see!

Many thanks

Joanna
