Please Help Me Heal
Thank you all so much for your amazing support at this time. You have 'helped me fly'. I have posted photos and a longer message on my facebook page (www.facebook.com/jacinta.mcshane.5) as I was unable to load the photos here. I feel truly blessed to have been able to make this journey. If anyone would like more information on the specific treatment I had at www.issels.com, then do contact me via facebook and I will be happy to help.
God bless you.
‘I will do whatever it takes to be here for you'
I am asking you to help fund my Immunotherapy treatment at The Issels Clinic in Mexico. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate to Yes to life, your funds will go directly to this Charity into a personalised account for my treatment.
Diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in 2004 when my son Josh was just 9 years old, I made a solid, loving pledge to him outside his school gates when our world was falling apart: 'I will do whatever it takes to live as well as possible for a very very long time'. That has involved: a mastectomy, surgery to remove a further lump 6 months later, radiotherapy, treatment for a spread to my lungs two years later, ongoing conventional treatment over the past 11 years, a further spread later, trips to Mexico for complementary treatment.
Since then, I have remained well with a mix of conventional and immunotherapy treatment at The Issels Clinic in Mexico www.issels.com, afforded by the sale of our home, my savings and friends’ support.
In 2010, my healing story: ‘Hidden Gifts – an abuse survivor’s triumph through cancer’ was published: http://amzn.to/1Q6ua0Y My cancer journey has helped me confront abuse as a child and heal from this torment. see video on you tube of my talk in Derry two years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULQqm6PNdfQ
Whilst cancer threatens my life physically, it more than compensates by helping me heal within. I feel very grateful for my life.
Unfortunately though at the same time as my own story was published, I found out that my cancer had spread to my bones and peritoneum. This was challenging to say the least but I believed surmountable. Further treatment here and abroad has helped enormously to control this spread until now.
I am now developing strong symptoms. My need for further immunotherapy treatment is time critical now, hence this pledge for funds at this important time!"
Thank-you for whatever you feel you can give and would you please pass this appeal on to others so that they can read about my journey of hope and determination to heal, in the hope that they may be in a position to support me through donating to my page.
I feel blessed through my long journey through cancer and will always do all that I can to help others coping with this challenging disease. I am truly grateful for your help.
Please Note: Should your donation qualify for Gift Aid, then by clicking this option you are ensuring that Yes To Life are funded.
God bless you
