Three Peaks Challenge · 9 June 2023

We are a small family run rescue surrounded by woods & fields, a haven for cats and dogs alike. We started rescuing 26 years ago, taking in unwanted, battered & abused animals & generally helping people when they can no longer look after their animals. Our aim is to rehabilitate & rehome all animals to suitable, caring homes. All homes are checked before & after rehoming. Dogs & cats are vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered when possible otherwise a voucher towards neutering is given. As a small sanctuary, our animals all get individual love & attention.

Story

Grinshill Animal Rescue is a small family-run shelter which has been running for over 35 years, helping to re-home dogs and cats across Shropshire. I lived in Clive for several years and had the opportunity to help out with dog walking in my spare time and was really impressed by the level of care and importance they give to each of their furry residents.

Grinshill Animal Rescue nestles into the base of Grinshill hill and is surrounded by woods and fields - haven for cats and dogs alike. They started rescuing approximately 35 years ago, taking in stray, abused animals and generally helping people when they could no longer look after their animals for one reason or another. No matter how much space is made there is never enough room - they always have waiting lists for dogs & cats to be re-homed. Their aim is to rehabilitate and re-home all animals to suitable, caring homes.
