Rock n Roll Liverpool Marathon 2015 · 14 June 2015 ·
Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 14th June 10am I will be running the Liverpool 'Rock n Roll' full marathon . I have never ran a marathon before but it is something i have always wanted to complete and this will be my first.
I have decided to run the marathon in memory of Neville Strowger who sadly passed away earlier this year and was the grandfather to my partner Toni Strowger. All fundraising money on this site will go to the charity save the children.
I am also fundraising seperately in person too and that money will be sent to GMCDP (Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People) and will go towards the young persons project.Neville Strowger, who died in January aged 75, lived a full and independent life despite contracting poliomyletis at the age of 3. He loved his family; Manchester both the city, where he worked until his retirement and its football team; socialising with friends at concerts and the theatre and holidays home and abroad. He was an active member of a number of disabled persons organisations and was particularly passionate about young disabled people realising their potential and aspiring to live and work as independently as possible. Last but not least he had a wicked sense of humour and is remembered by all with a smile.
