Event: London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023, on 2 April 2023
A team of 6 supporters of Thomas's Fund are taking part in London Landmarks Half Marathon on 2nd April 2023 to raise money to provide music therapy for children in Northants with life limiting illnesses and disabilities.

Story

Charlotte, Emma, Lee, Rob, Nicky, Claire, Tina, Jo, Jay and Jack are joining hundreds of runners to run 13.1 miles around London on 2nd April to raise funds for Thomas's Fund. We had our 1st team of 10 take part last year, and think they all had a great time! Thomas's Fund was set up following the death of Thomas Smith who died aged 10 with a neurodegenerative disease which meant he was profoundly disabled. Tom was often absent from school regularly because of his failing health, that meant he was unable to access the music therapy which he received at school during those times away from school. Thomas's Fund provides music therapy for children aged 0-19 with life limiting illnesses which mean they cannot attend school regularly. Music therapy is provided at home and in hospital when necessary.
