Story

Hey Everyone! I will be taking part in the Great North Run in support of Durham Cricket Foundation!

Over the last year Durham Cricket Foundation (DCF) have partnered with the Newcastle Bridges School based in the Great North Children’s hospital (GNCH). In that time DCF have provided one-to-one cricket themed sessions which include a wide variety of cricket related games to long term patients within GNCH.

The help and support that is delivered through these games provide an outstanding sense of wellbeing and joy to a variety of children with different illnesses and challenges. A participant who took part in the sessions had said “thanks to your competitive, enjoyable and genuine sessions you have not only made me enjoy a cricket a sport I would have never thought of even trying but helped my recovery massively and I’m very appreciative of that”

So if you can, no matter how small or large, help us to further the development in this project and help give others plenty of joy!
