Story

Our lovely dad sadly passed away on 25th October 2022 after a 3 year battling with dementia after a stroke in 2019.

He was always helping people out, from passing our old clothes to local families that needed them when we lived in Cornwall to helping at homeless shelter in Hitchin & volunteer at Scope charity shop, Hitchin.

This great Charity Feed up Warm up based in hitchin helps deliver over 120 food parcels a week, spend £2500 on hotel rooms for people to keep warm, they buy tents, sleeping bags & mats for people sadly living on the streets. They run a food van, help people with counselling sessions, supporting people to get off the streets, in to work/ accommodations & much more…

Dad would be proud to know that we are raising money to help people in his memory

Please leave a message in our Dads memory if you wish for us to read as a family

Thanks to everyone in advance, we really appreciate it & so would our Dad x

Feed Up Warm Up is a North Hertfordshire based charity supporting those who are homeless and those at risk of homelessness. We operate 2 weekly drop in centres in Hitchin and Stevenage where anybody is welcome to come and spend the evening with us. We offer live music, counselling services, a hot meal, free haircuts, food parcels, addiction advice and a warm welcoming smile and a chat. We support on average 100 guests a week between both drop in services. We also have an outreach team who respond to local referrals from other charities and agencies. During the pandemic we have reached out to local struggling families who have been directly impacted by the pandemic by delivering weekly food parcels and other support services. Through this particular service we have made up and delivered over 2600 food parcels which equates to 11,000 individuals since April 2020. We are funded purely by donations from kind members of the public and local businesses. Our belief is that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, kindness, equality and included in the local community.
