Jack, a year-old cancer fighter - raising funds and awareness for child cancer and treatments · 4 September 2021

We raise money to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Story

Jack was diagnosed with pelvic rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) when he was 2 and a half years old. RMS is a very rare type of cancer occurring mainly in childhood, effecting only around 100 children in the UK each year. Cancer in children accounts for less than 1% of all cancer cases. Jack has so far undergone seven months of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery and is now hopefully in full remission.

More research is needed to better understand this type, and other types, of cancers to save more lives and increase the quality of life for other survivors like Jack. Jack has greatly benefited from the excellent treatment and support he has received so far. We would like to thank all people involved in Jack’s journey to recovery, and support all the people, institutions, and charities that have been involved by raising awareness and funds for children’s cancer. All the funds raised via this site will be donated to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, specifically for the Oak Centre for Children and Young People.
