Since 1956, experienced HCPT volunteers have taken 1,000s of disabled and disadvantaged children and adults on life changing pilgrimage holidays to the shrine of Lourdes in France. We are of all faiths and none. Thank you for your support.

Story

AHOY!

This year away with HCPT - Group 122 - will be marking 10 years of travelling with a charity I hold very close to my heart. This charity changes the lives of the most vulnerable, often overlooked people within our society. We take disabled and disadvantaged children from all faiths and backgrounds from all over the world on a week's trip to Lourdes of which they are the focus and centre of the entire trip. It is our job to facilitate the most fun-filled, joyous and welcoming experience that we can possibly provide and we manage it every year!! I've witnessed the life-changing implications of this charity and seen the best brought out in so many different people from all walks of life.

As it is my 10th year travelling with 122 it is about time I pulled up my socks with the fundraising. I shaved my hair off years ago but that was a cop-out and too easy.

On 12th May I will be running a half marathon in Sheffield and as a (disgustingly heavy) ex-smoker this should provide a laugh for most of you. But it's happening. The cigs are out and the Lucozade is in.

But this still doesn't seem enough; I want a permanent reminder.

This is why after completing the run I am having the GROUP 122 sunshine Logo tattooed on a cheek on my body (which is not on my face). This way the sun will be constantly shining where it usually doesn't

Check out the prototype in the pictures below ~

If you could spare a dime please give what you can. I've seen a lot of you pay £4 for a Redstrip so you know you can afford a couple of quid £££.

Pictures will be posted as proof.

ALL proceeds go to Group 122 - York.

Enjoy watching me suffer & please donate what you can

Peace
