The George Frewer Memorial Race · 4 July 2013
On Thursday 4th July I will be riding in The George Frewer Memorial Race at Newbury Racecourse in aid of the Mary Hare Charity. This charity works tirelessly to try and ensure deaf children get the vital education and support they need to reach their full potential.
A good example of their work is Arran who is 17 years old:
"Before coming to this school my hearing loss determined my whole life. Since I have been here, it has been irrelevant."
In order to ride in the race I will have to achieve a high level of fitness, lose almost a stone in weight and learn how to ride in a flat race. Lots of jogging, cycling, riding out and dieting lie in the months ahead!
