Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. This site has been created in loving memory of our beautiful son, Jack, who passed away in 2009. When Jack was just a day old he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition and was admitted to Southampton General Hospital. Over the following few weeks, Jack underwent open heart surgery. He made an amazing recovery after spending a week in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). However, just as we all thought Jack was ready to go home, he sadly had a heart attack and was re-admitted to PICU. Jack again made amazing progress thanks to the work of the doctors and nurses, but sadly he was just too poorly and died when just six weeks old.
During Jack's time in PICU, it was clear to see that much of the equipment and clothing dedicated to Jack was a result of the Friends of PICU charity. We are eternally grateful to the hard work they have done and the opportunities Jack was given.
