I'm running the half marathon on behalf of Team Ted to get much valued funds for alder hey ... Ted Mccaffery won this years pride of Britain award for his fundraising efforts for the charity .... Ted along with my own son underwent open heart surgery at the hospital allowing myself and Teds family to get our children back alive 
My son Conor underwent 9 hours in surgery and then 6 weeks under the care of K2 to correct his transposition of greater arteries condition at 13days old .... He is now amazing his consultants and doctors by running for Cheshire , the north of England and the Air Cadet corps... I cannot thank the staff and fundraisers enough for all they do for the families that use their services everyday .... This half marathon is a little bit towards me being able to have my son by my side to cheer me on and to help Ted achieve his fundraising goals
