We are running the London Marathon this year for St John Ambulance and we'd be absolutely honoured if you could support us. We were due to run it in April 2020 but Covid meant the event was postponed to October 2020, but this date was only available for the professionals so we chose to run it virtually. We continued with our training and were then due to run it in October 2021 but unfortunately I was involved in a bad accident and we were unable to participate due to my injuries. However, after all the incredible love, support and nursing care I received from so many people, I am back training and running and well on the road to recovery, I'm very much looking forward to running The London Marathon 2022 with my wonderful husband, with all the other competitors and to be inspired and encouraged by all the supporters around us.

You will have seen St John Ambulance teams looking after people at sporting events, community events, festivals - locally and nationally. They are a charity that steps forward in the moments that matter to save lives and support communities. Their highly trained volunteers keep people safe, springing into action to help with emergencies and they have also been at the forefront of supporting the NHS during covid, in hospitals, in ambulances and vaccinating the community. The vital role St John plays in supporting our nations healthcare has never been more relevant or urgent.
