By way of background, I am 24 years old, currently living and working in Hong Kong and only in the last 3-4 years, have i been particularly entertained by the idea of doing something a little bit mad for Charity which involved pushing the limits of my body. It started in 2015 with my Brother Ben and I competing in the London Triathlon, which quickly followed by an ultra-marathon in the middle of the night through the hills of Hong Kong and so on. It very quickly turned into a passion, something i enjoyed, a way to switch off and focus on getting over the finish line, whether that be running, swimming, cycling or crawling (mostly the latter). A number of finish lines later, I find myself wanting more, hence, now, i have registered for the Ironman 70.3 in New Zealand's Lake Taupo and Danang 70.3 with a goal of completing a full Ironman on the World Champion circuit (Mont-Tremblant Ironman, Capetown Ironman, etc) all within 2019. 

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre in Central London. Having witnessed the doctors, nurses, assistants and tea ladies all play their pivotal roles in a patients day-to-day life in the hospital, i only see this as a natural way of paying back a debt which is infinite. For without their work, my father Neil, would have found an already very challenging period of his life even more so. 

I am aiming to raise 100,000HKD (10,000GBP approx) in aid of the hospital whom have made the hard days bearable with their support, integrity and team of professionals whom have work tirelessly to help not only Dad but all of the thousands of patients they see every year fight the awful disease that is Cancer. 

The research being conducted by The Royal Marsden specifically for immunotherapy is ground breaking, a biological therapy which helps boosts the bodies natural immune system and defense mechanisms to help stop the growth of cancer cells and eventually destroying the cells entirely. The hospital are also making it far more accessible for patients to receive the treatment, increasing cancer detection much earlier and boosting success rates. 

Your donation, however big or small will have a huge impact on the both the Trust and my will power to get to the finish lines of these events and i thank you in advance for parting with your money for such a fantastic cause.
