Cancer takes no prisoners and doesn't care about age, colour , gender, creed, rich or poor. Survival rates are improving all the time but there is still so much more that needs to be done to allow vital research & better treatments in the future. Every pounds raised has the power to save a life !

I am speaking to you as a mother who sat in hospital 2 days before Christmas to be told that my eldest son had a Brain Tumour the size of a peach sitting above his right eye. I am a mother who could only stand helplessly by and watch my beloved boy endure painful tests, blood transfusions, 2 major brain surgeries, radiotherapy, chemotherapy. I am a mother who sought our research treatments which extended his life by an extra few months so that he could hold his new born son.  I am a mother who held her own son as he lost his brave fight less than 10 months after diagnosis , 2 days after his 20th birthday. We , as a family were devastated but Deans future was so cruelly taken away when he had so much to live for.

In honour of all those who have & are still suffering we are Walking All Over Cancer this coming Friday 17th August and would love for as many of you as possible to join us. We will be meeting at Hartham swimming pool , Hertford from 6pm onwards and plan to start our walk @ 6.30. We will also be collecting donations on the night if you prefer.
