Poppy Half Marathon 2014 · 8 November 2014
Hi,
Most people who know me will also know that I am not a fan of running, so to set myself the challenge of completing a quarter marathon is a daunting prospect. It's not a whole marathon or even half, but to me running six and a half miles is a big deal. I will however smash it and along the way I hope to raise as much money as I can for The Lily Foundation.
Meet Harry.... the son of one of my best friends. Harry is six years old and was diagnosed with Leigh's Syndrome just before his second birthday. Leigh's Syndrome is a Mitochondrial Disease. There is no cure or treatment. The money raised for The Lily Foundation helps fund research into Mitochondrial Disease, parent accommodation close to hospitals and short breaks for the family. The Charity gives hope, answers and support to the many children and families that face the challenges of this disease.
Please, please, please help me raise as much money as I can for The Lily Foundation so they can continue with their amazing work.
Massive thanks,
Jacquie, xxx.
