National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children - Step Change 2012 · 4 March 2012 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

So, Jake and Sam are on gap year number 1 (and 2 for Jake) and have decided to do something for charity as well as themselves.

On 4th March, we will be running up the Gherkin in London in aid of the NSPCC. Stepchange is an annual event where competitors run up 1,037 steps in the iconic building in the capital all to raise money for the childrens charity.

We're aiming to raise £300 each, so please dig deep (spade not included) and donate now.

NEW EXCITING NEWS! ... As we both are really in need of getting out the house more often we're also now going to be cycling John O'Groats to Lands' End in aid of NSPCC! Our provisional starting date is April 16th where we will set out to go the 900 miles (or more impressively 1448 km) in hopefully (!) 12 days. So we'd be ever so grateful for all the support we can get for both events and we have been assured from a very nice chap from the NSPCC that all the money raised will directly help those who need it the most :)

Also please click gift aid - it will add more to our total and at no cost to you!
