Hi All

Firstly,  thanks for taking the time out of your day to visit my page. As most of you will be aware I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in October 2011. Ulcerative Colitis is a type of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The other major type of IBD being Crohns Disease. Due to the embarrassing nature of the symptoms it produces it can cause many sufferers to suffer in silence. Since being diagnosed I have made it my mission to help raise awareness for something that can be difficult and unpleasant to discuss. This year is no different and so I am planning on running the Great Manchester Run. These last 2 and half years have been tough. I still take copious amounts of medication (including a self injection every week) and spend enough time at Royal Preston Hospital to call it a second home but I'm still here smiling. I can't thank everyone enough for past donations but would really love to raise some more for such a wonderful charity.
