Hi all :) we are raising funds for Scottish Sports Futures by taking part in a sponsored zip line across the River Clyde - given I (Jamal) am far from crazy about heights (not sure about the other guys!) as well as being a worthy cause, it is likely to be a funny sight too!

SSF is a Glasgow based charity who deliver ‘Sport for Development’ programmes to over 10,000 disadvantaged young people across Scotland annually.  They aim to provide positive lifestyle messages to young people most at-risk and in need of support in deprived communities throughout Scotland by empowering young people to make positive choices by offering guidance and support. This is achieved using pro-athletes, youth workers and coaches as role models to:

- provide training, volunteering and employment opportunities

- deliver messages on topics such as the importance of physical activity, healthy eating, dangers of smoking, alcohol abuse, knife crime, bullying and how to ‘bounce back’ from failure

- improve the physical health and mental wellbeing of Scotland’s young communities
