Story
** COMPLETED **
I am running the Classic Quarter ultra-marathon (https://www.endurancelife.com/classicquarter)
from Lizard Point (the Southern-most tip of England) to Land's End (the Western-most tip), over 45 miles and 5,500ft of climbing along the Cornish coastal path. I'm raising money to support The Rainbow Centre for Children in Bristol.
The Rainbow Centre provides support for children and their families suffering from the effects of a life threatening illness or death in the family. The services are provided free of charge and relies entirely upon charitable donations for our existence.
After my wife Emily died, the Rainbow Centre supported my then 4-year old son with play therapy, and later me too, with counselling. I'm raising money for them part as a token of gratitude for their help when we needed it, but mostly to hopefully enable another family to be able to get help.
The run is 60% further than I have ever run, and I am expecting this to my hardest day out yet. Helping to raise some money to support them is what's going to keep me running.
Thank you, James (and Oli)
