I've just signed myself up for a huge personal challenge. 

In November I will be joining a group of (unknown) people to trek 100km through the Sahara desert.

I have decided to take on this incredible challenge, to raise as much money as I possibly can for the amazing charity 'Children with Cancer'.

I will be setting off from Achbarou in Morocco, which is known as the ‘Door of the Desert’. From there I will be testing myself against the heat and solitude of the Sahara, to trek 7 hours and 27km per day.

I have a personal target to raise £2500 for the charity. As I am sponsoring myself to cover the cost of the trip personally, every other penny I raise will go directly to Children with Cancer.

The reason that I am supporting this amazing charity is that sadly Cancer is still the biggest cause of death in children in the UK, almost
4,000 babies and children are diagnosed each year.

As a father myself, I am very lucky to have 3 healthy children. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it is to have a child diagnosed with cancer.

I want the money which we raise to help support the charity to continue funding vital research and perhaps even one day help to find a cure.
