<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; color: blue; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">In October 2012 I will be undertaking the challenge of trekking the world’s highest freestanding mountain, </span><span style="font-family: Calibri; color: blue; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">Mt. <span style="font-family: Calibri; color: blue; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;"></span><span style="font-family: Calibri; color: blue; mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">at 5,895 metres or 19,341 feet above sea level. <p><span style="font-family: Calibri; color: blue; mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">£15 could pay for a 'survival kit' of basic essentials such as shampoo, toothpaste and soap for an abused person who has fled their home with nothing.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Calibri; color: blue; mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">£45 could pay for three one-to-one homework support sessions for a young carer.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Calibri; color: blue; mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">£240 could pay for a year's worth of support group sessions for 4 young people whose parents misuse drugs and alcohol.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Calibri; color: blue; mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: small;">£1000 could help to pay for 7 overnight stay and specialist care for a terminally ill child or young person, while giving their parents and families an important break from the demands of caring.</span></span></p>
