Story
On Sunday 13th May, I will be running in the Halstead and Essex Marathon (left it too late for the London Marathon). I've given myself just 66 days to prepare for the gruelling 26.2 miles feat that lies ahead. This will be some challenge for me to complete, but knowing that it is for a good cause will help me get to the finish line. I am running the marathon for 3 reasons: to prove to myself that I can do this; to prove my brother Ryan wrong; and most importantly to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Cancer is something that effects us all. We all know someone who has suffered from this horrible illness. New research suggests that one in two (50%) people in the UK will get some form of cancer in their lifetime. I recently lost both of my grandmothers to the illness and want to run this race in their memory. Slowly, we are finding cures to cancer and it is becoming more and more treatable.
Please support this cause by donating whatever you can and sharing this page/post, to quote Tesco, "every little helps".
