As you know we are all living through extraordinary times
which are tremendously difficult for everyone. However for the families with disabled children we support at Family Fund the challenges are even greater. 

We take for granted many of the items that are essential for getting through this crisis, things like washing machines, cookers or even items that are important to keeping our children entertained and stimulated during the lockdown. Items like IPads, sensory toys or outdoor play items (for those lucky enough to have gardens or outside space) can play a huge role for children at this time.

Consider how hard your life would be right now without these items ? Even putting food on the table is a challenge for many parents that have lost their jobs and income. We are working hard at Family Fund to help families through this crisis, and our teams continue to provide essential items and support to families that desperately need us. That is why I am asking you to consider cutting your own hair during this time and to donate the money you would have spent on that haircut to our charity, so we can help even more. 

If you really don’t feel you want to do that, then please donate what you can, so that we can get urgent support to thousands of families with disabled children.
