We provide suicide prevention training to reduce youth suicide

Story

Since January I have been working towards some running goals. I have been increasing the length of my runs as I want to complete an ultra marathon. I decided to book 2 in for 2021. Last Saturday I completed my first ultra (a 40 mile race in 6h 18min), and I am now working toward to main goal... and 100 mile race.

This is an event called the The Robin Hood 100, and starts at 8am on September the 11th, and is mainly in Sherwood forest. (I have no idea what sort of time this will take, but anything from 20-23 hours depending on how things go...not really sure 😂)

I thought hard about what Charity I want to raise money for, for this 100 mile race.

I have chosen the Ollie Foundation, as they provide coaching and guidance designed to combat suicide in children and teenagers. I thought this is especially important with the impact covid has had on mental health. They are local to St Albans, and are making a real difference.

I wanted to support a smaller charity, so hopefully we can see the impact of any money we raise. No pressure, but if you do wish to donate, I would be very grateful.
