Young people from less advantaged backgrounds are twice as likely to be out of work, school or training in the future. Envision is a charity that helps them to develop the essential skills and confidence they need to succeed by bringing them together with trained staff, local partners and business mentors to tackle social issues affecting their community. An independent government-funded randomised control trial has shown that Envision's programmes leads to increases in grit, resilience, and problem solving in participants.

At the end of September I'll be cycling 220 miles over three days to raise funds for Envision. The route will take us from Swansea to Henley via the steep hills of the Brecon Beacons.
