RUN FAT BOY. RUN!
So my 10k got postponed as I accidentally entered a competitive (timed) race, which Jade my trainer thought might not be the best. I still think I had a chance at winning. So I have re-entered a Fat friendly version. There is a promising Flapjack at the end I hear. I am not the best runner but I am giving it best, for my dear friend Neil Desai who with much sadness passed away on his 22nd Birthday. Hopefully this will be a nice belated 30th Birthday present.
No one was more of an inspiration, if he told you to run, and he often did tell me (lovingly) as he said I needed to loose the weight. I would run. Not many people have had that effect on me. He told me one day I could be his bodyguard when he was running the country, knowing Neil's ambition I thought it was a genuine job offer.
I am looking to raise £1,000 for the charity Neil’s lovely mum and family set up, who have always remained dear friends. The charity supports really great causes including scans for young people for cardiac risk in the young.
Please give this a SHARE AND A LIKE. Running is still somewhat unknown to my body and I am adjusting still. I was a starburst away from 20stone at one point, doing a bit better but still a long way to go. For me this is a Marathon.
