Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I ride for Essex and in particular All Saints Rettendon home of the Humfrey memorial. It is also the Church I was confirmed in and that the parents worshipped in. Kim and I were married in it and Mother is buried there. So it has played a big part in my life. In fact as many Churches have in lots of families lives. 

Across the country many Churches need capital to pay for necessary repairs to maintain them. The various county trusts operate charitable funds to help the congregations pay for these works.

Some Churches have wonderful pieces of history in them some sculptures of a quality that surprises. The Humfrey Memorial is one. You can see it at the top of this page. It is actually more impressive than the picture. 

I usually ride about 40-50 miles and visit about 32  Churches. This year I hope will be no exception but we have a wedding to go to, and at the moment we don't know what time we are to be there. So I may have to be dressed for the wedding on the way round!
