Story
My beloved wife Katrina has put up such a battle in the past year, first fighting off Breast Cancer in March to then receiving the devastating news of a Terminal Cancer diagnosis (a rare Adrenal Cancer) in June.
Katrina is the strongest person I have ever met and has kept herself going with sheer will and determination to be around as long as she could be for myself and her beloved twins Dillon & Tabitha. Unfortunately the cancer has now taken her from our loving arms and in to those of family members since passed.
The staff, nurses and doctors at the NI Hospice have been a godsend in her last weeks, their love and care for her I cannot fault. I would like to thank them for this by raising money so that they can keep providing first class services to other families in need, just like ourselves.
I have set a modest target of £1000 so that in due course a plaque in remembrance of Katrina can be placed on a butterfly sculpture in the Woodland Trust’s Monkstown Wood. This will also mean that at a special Remembrance Service in spring a tree will be planted in memory of all those who have passed away at the hospice.
Please give what you can as every little helps and as this means a great deal to Dillon, Tabitha and myself. Thank you, James.
