I am boxing in this year's CRN fight night as I recently lost my step mother to Breast cancer, as I watched her suffer without complaining I was struck by how indiscriminate the illness is and how helpless we remain. I want to take part in this event to both honour her extraordinary bravery in the face of the cruellest of illnesses and to support the vital research into causes and treatment.  

I have never been in a boxing ring before and the thought of stepping in a ring in front of family and friends is daunting to say the least so I have stepped up training to hopefully avoid the embarrassment of having my face rearranged in the first round!!

Whilst the training is tough it is such a fantastic opportunity to raise money for a great cause and I am inspired by the incredible courage and dignity shown by Brenda right to the end.

Please dig deep for such a worthwhile cause and take pleasure in seeing me being repeatedly punched in the face on May 24th!!
