Dear Generous Person,

Here I am again, asking you to dig deep... into your pockets! I'm running the Bupa 10,000 for the charity 'Life'. Life does trememdous work in supporting young pregnant women who have no one else to turn to. They provide housing, as well as emotional and financial support - in short, they provide love, which is the right of every woman, and any new human being who is coming into the world. Sadly, there are many thousands of cases where this right is not recognised, even by partners and families. Life steps in, and shows that every life is precious, not by preaching from some remote pedestal, disconnected from reality, but face to face, with blood, sweat and tears. Life also provides non-directive counselling for anyone facing a crisis pregancy, where a newly conceived human is not considered a 'problem' to be solved, but a challenge to be faced, together. Finally, Life's team provides education to young men and women, focussing on the dignity of the human person and it's connection to responsible sexual behaviour. This charity is pro-life in the fullest sense of the word, because it provides for the needs of ALL those involved in pregnancy, the child, and just as importantly, the mother. I was raised by a single mother, who had very little money or emotional support. It made me very aware from an early age, just how incredible women are, especially when they become mothers. Women need to know this truth, those in difficult situations need to know it especially. This is the mission of Life. Please give generously.
